User Training

We design and deliver training programmes for staff of public bodies, local authorities and businesses, either in person or online. Our experience in online GIS training dates back to 2010, with more than 2,000 trainees. Our courses are built on real data and real problems, so participants can immediately apply what they learn in their daily work.

Introduction to GIS: Core concepts, coordinate reference systems (GGRS87 / EGSA87), digitisation, vector and raster data processing, map production with ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.

Spatial analysis & databases: Spatial queries, geoprocessing, topology, data quality control, spatial databases with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and task automation with Python.

Web GIS: Publishing maps and services online with ArcGIS Online, GeoServer and OGC standards (WMS/WFS), and building interactive web maps and dashboards.
